Testimonials
“The Leader’s Camino was the best thing I did for myself for this whole year and especially during this pandemic! As a leader of a non-profit organisation, a lawyer, a wife and a mom to three kids, it is easy to get carried away by the rapid pace of everyday life. With DJ's guided reflections, I came out having a much clearer understanding of what matters most to me today, where I want to go tomorrow, and feeling joyful at how far I have come. This is for people who want to gift themselves time to reflect and to rejuvenate. I guarantee you, it will be money and time well spent... with lots of quiet Eureka moments in between. It is important to set aside these moments of connecting to our inner selves in order to lead effectively and to inspire deeply. I realised that I can only be that way if I stay deeply attuned to my own path, my own dreams, and my own voice.” - Mia, Managing Director & Lawyer
“I joined the program with little expectations but the daily modules were really engaging, uplifting and thought-provoking. The daily AHA moments and reflections were magical. This is augmented by our weekly pilgrim’s circle when we all gather and share thoughts, insights and experiences. I love how this became the highlight of my day. It is the calm amidst the chaos and the joy amidst the pain we are all going through these days.” – Bea, VP
“I am privileged to join this amazing and specially curated Online Camino program created by DJ. Although the program is online, the themes and worksheets were very well thought through and I looked forward to the daily “guide” to understand myself more, shed some of my unnecessary “baggage” and to develop myself further.” - Bee Ling, Accountant
The Leader’s Camino - Frequently Asked Questions
What is “The Leader’s Camino”?
The word ‘Camino’ means journey in Spanish - a metaphor for this leadership retreat. Traditionally, these journeys served as a way to connect people with one another. Fellow travellers would share insights in the form of stories and experiences while having time for self reflection and immersion in nature.
Why should I join “The Leader’s Camino” now?
The best time to improve yourself is when challenges arise. The Leader’s Camino gives you the opportunity to “walk on despite the waves”.
How can “The Leader’s Camino” benefit me?
The Leader’s Camino will help you to adapt and face the numerous paradigm shifts in the world. Find clarity of purpose as a leader, a shift in mindset from problems to possibilities to potential, and use tools to engage hearts and minds.
What will we be doing in “The Leader’s Camino”?
You will embark on 33 bite-size modules in the form of videos, PDFs, eBooks and workbooks. In the process, you will learn to use tools and assessments to improve your awareness as a leader. Next, you connect weekly at the Pilgrims Circles with D.J. and other leaders on this journey. You will also enjoy 2 sessions of individual coaching with D.J.
What is the time commitment for “The Leader’s Camino”?
Each bite-sized module takes 15 to 20 minutes. You may set aside up to 30 minutes per day for your personal retreat time. You may choose to complete the modules daily or do several modules in one go. In addition, there will be an hour-long group discussion known as a Pilgrims Circle every week. The 2 sessions of one-to-one coaching will be one hour each.
What is a pilgrims circle?
The Pilgrims Circle is a weekly discussion where you meet with D.J. and fellow leaders and share insights or experiences about the weekly theme and activities. Often, individuals find moments of inspiration here!
Why does the retreat stretch over the Christmas and New Year period?
The holiday break allows you to catch up on the modules, reflect and internalise the learning, as you gear up for the strategies and challenges of the new year. It will be timely to meet for a final check in after the festivities for the last Pilgrims Circle to share your new reflections. Your second coaching session can be arranged after the holiday period too.
This workshop is jointly organised by DecodeHR and LightPaths Academy
# Connect with other leaders in these group sessions to share insights and experiences.
^ Participants are invited to pledge a distance to walk for the programme duration. The group would “collectively walk” 800 kilometres by the end of the 33-day journey.
