The Role
The Director, Rooms & Attractions will work closely with the leadership team to develop and review business plans and strategies, develop key performance indicators, and conduct manpower planning. The incumbent will oversee all functions that falls under the Room and Attractions which includes Room Sales, Events, Guest Relations Management, Holiday Programs, Housekeeping, Facilities and Security. The role holder should preferably be passionate, conscientious, a strong problem solver to address challenges, resolves issues (if any), and achieves desired results. The incumbent should preferably be one that is committed to organizational excellence to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent implementation of best practices in hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all activities related to operational and strategic management to achieve planned goals and objectives while maintaining brand and company standards for guest satisfaction and employee satisfaction
Review and share functional excellence and best practices with respective departments to achieve desired results to meet business objectives
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure an effective recruiting process to attract talent to the organisation
Collaborate with relevant partners, and marketing teams, to increase or improve program offerings
Manage rooms and attractions by developing plans to increase occupancy and/or revenue, ensure compliance with all local health & safety or alcohol laws, oversee the quality assurance of operations including review of standard operating procedures, and oversee development of relevant programs related to attraction’s activities
Innovation and Technology – use innovative methods to enhance the guest experience and improve operational efficiencies
Guest Management, establish and implement appropriate service recovery policies or guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction
Lead the planning of strategic and tactical events through events and sponsorship to achieve business objectives
Plan, forecast, and drive activities to increase revenue and/or market share and be responsible for increasing sales and customer satisfaction index
Team management – work alongside Human Resources to develop team competency to remain relevant and competitive in the marketplace
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education qualification in business administration, hotel management, or related field preferred
Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role
Proven track record of overseeing F&B, rooms, resort, or other relevant hospitality functions
Leadership skills with strong business acumen and a solution-oriented mindset to drive positive results
Strong interpersonal skills, cultural knowledge, awareness, and ability to communicate and influence at all levels
Proficient MS office skills
