The Role
As the Organisation continues to expand its reach and innovate its offerings, it is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales operations in the ASEAN market. This role covers countries including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering and System Integration:
Work closely with the engineering team to understand the technical details and advantages of the products
Ensure seamless integration of marine diesel engines and high-speed boats into the clients' existing systems, enhancing their operational efficiency and value proposition
Strategic Management:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand customer base in the ASEAN region, including market analysis, sales forecasting, and setting short-term and long-term sales goals
Sales and Marketing:
Drive the sales process from plan to close, while collaborating with the marketing team to craft compelling messages and campaigns that resonate with the target markets
Utilise a variety of channels to reach potential customers, including digital marketing, industry events, and direct outreach
Channel Development:
Identify, recruit, and develop new channel partners, including dealers and agents, to extend market reach
Implement channel strategies to enhance product distribution and service delivery
Customer Support Excellence:
Establish and maintain a high standard of customer service to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, including managing customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive post-sale support experience
Direct Customer Interaction & Dealer Development:
Engage directly with key clients and dealers to build and nurture strong relationships
Conduct regular visits and communications to understand their needs, provide product training, and gather feedback for continuous improvement
Negotiation and Contract Closure:
Lead the negotiation of contracts with clients and channel partners, ensuring favorable terms for the Organisation
Oversee the contract development process from initiation to closure, including legal and compliance checks
Prepare and present reports on account status, market opportunities, and challenges to the management team
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
Proven work experience of at least 5 years in sales management, preferably in the maritime, marine engineering, or defense sector
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
Solid experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
Strong business sense and industry expertise in the maritime and defense sectors
Fluent in English; proficiency in at least one ASEAN language is highly advantageous
Willingness to travel extensively across the ASEAN region
