Our client, a premier cancer diagnostics and pharma services company serving oncologists, pathologists, pharmaceutical companies, academic centres and others with innovative diagnostic, prognostic and predicting testing, is seeking to fill the following open position.
The Role
The Surgical Pathologist will be responsible for providing safe and efficient Pathology and laboratory services for client companies.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice on pathology and laboratory matters, professional pathology and laboratory standards of practice
Participate in several functions involved in day to day operations, including case consultation sign out responsibilities
May interact with our clients for Pre-analytical, Analytical, and Post-Analytical questions
Performs diagnostic interpretation of biopsy and/or cytology material to include gross and microscopic evaluation, dictation, and electronic release of reviewed cases
Key Requirements
Medical Doctor or D. O. Degree required and M.D/Ph.D. or Ph. D. preferred
CP Board certification in Surgical or Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology or eligibility in Surgical and Clinical Pathology and fellowship trained in relevant surgical/cytology pathology
Post graduate qualifications such as FRCPath, FRCPA in Surgical pathology, or its equivalent in the country of practice
At least five years of experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting or Board Certification in a sub-specialty area within the Clinical or Surgical Pathology
