Today, technology, consumers, and artificial intelligence are responsible for changes to the status quo and can initiate major disruptions. We wanted to ask - how can HR professionals succeed in such an unpredictable environment? How can organisations facilitate innovation and change, and what do leaders need to do to adapt? These topics and more about the future HR landscape were discussed at the HR Leaders Summit 2018 #HRLeadersAsia organised by HRD which took place on 2nd October. Our Managing Director, Evelyn Chow, was the chairperson and reflects on the event:

"Being a part of the HR Leaders’ Summit as Chairperson was an engaging experience for me. The turnout was impressive, and the energy level was high.

What really struck me was how the role of a CHRO has evolved so rapidly in such a short span of time. The myriad of demands is significant and expectations are high due to in an environment where change is at full throttle. The speakers shared how they are responding to change and disruption. Personally, I would love to gain further insight into how they developed the roadmap to bring about transformation while juggling the must-do's. That could provide delegates with a keener sense of what sort of potential obstacles to anticipate and how to better navigate the landscape.

I was thrilled to hear that Agile HR and Design Thinking are slowly but surely demonstrating their value in the human capital world. I am convinced that early adopters in this space will see that this is not just a trend or a fad, and that developing an agile mindset and being enabled by the right tools will give their teams and organization a decided edge."
